1. Introduction

Welcome to Pintio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pintio website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

The Platform is operated by Pintio ("we", "our", or "us"), currently operated by Kazuki Ueda, based in Japan.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.

If you are under 18 years old, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate or misleading information.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Post unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, or inappropriate content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, spiders) without permission
• Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the Platform

5. Store Owner Conduct

If you register as a Store Owner, you additionally agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading business information
• Manipulate reviews or ratings
• Post content that infringes third-party rights
• Misrepresent location, hours, or services
• Promote illegal or unsafe products or services

We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend Store Owner accounts at our discretion.

6. User Content

6.1 License Grant

By posting content on the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, and perform your content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.

6.2 Responsibility

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to post the content
• Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights

We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences.

We may remove reviews that:

• Contain offensive or discriminatory language
• Are fraudulent or deceptive
• Include personal information of others
• Promote illegal activities
• Are irrelevant to the dining experience

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, branding, and functionality are owned by Pintio and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our materials except for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Payments and Subscriptions

Certain features may require payment.

• Fees are displayed at the time of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time.
• Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
• Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

If you purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play, their billing policies apply.

10. AI and Automated Processing

The Platform may use artificial intelligence and automated technologies, including OCR and language models, to analyze receipts, structure data, and generate insights.

While we strive for accuracy, automated outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies.

You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated results are provided for informational purposes only.
• You are responsible for verifying financial or business-related information.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of automated outputs.

11. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE".

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of content

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pintio and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Platform immediately ceases
• Provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, and indemnification survive termination

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

However, if you reside outside Japan, mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may apply and will prevail where required by law.

You agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us first.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to the courts of Japan, unless mandatory laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

16. International Use

Pintio operates globally. Access to the Platform from certain jurisdictions may be restricted by law.

You are responsible for complying with local laws applicable to your use of the Platform.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice via the Platform or email.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Pintio.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver.
